BRIT Awards
February

The BRIT Awards, organised by the BPI, has established itself as the UK's biggest music awards, and celebrated its 25th birthday in 2005.  The awards celebrate many genres and categories of music, both British and international, and the show features live performances from many top artists.

Each year the show raises money for its beneficiaries, the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. Over 7,000 young people have been given a free education and opportunity to enter the school since its opening in 1991 and over 10,000 children and adults have been helped by the phenomenal music therapy work carried out by Nordoff Robbins.  The BRITS also supports Future Forests by planting trees to compensate for the carbon dioxide produced by staging the event.
